Real estate is more than a series of transactions. It is walking side by side with someone while they move through the steps and emotions of owning their own little piece of the world.

Did you know that in Colorado, transplants now outnumber natives? Well allow me to introduce myself, I am Kris, a true Colorado native—born and raised in Colorado Springs, proud graduate of the University of Colorado and adventurer of all the wonderful things this state has to offer. After college, life brought about the opportunity to travel which resulted in four different moves, between three states, in three years. (During this time, I also got married and had my first kid because, why not do all the stressful things at once, right?).

It was this repeated moving process that led to my appreciation and interest in the world of real estate. I was fortunate to work with agents throughout the country who helped me through many of the stressful situations I now coach my clients through. As someone with a sales background, working with all walks of people was something that came naturally for me, but the opportunity to walk the path with my clients while they go through the very emotional and, at times, stressful process of buying or selling a home was something that truly excited me. The thought that, if I did it right, I would be able to be the lighthouse in the storm, the way my former agents were for me, meant so much and is my purpose in each transaction I do with my clients.

I bring a passion for working with people to uncover their vision and make it a reality. In the real estate world, this may mean finding the perfect house, neighborhood or simply a trustworthy agent who has your best interest in mind. Bringing my background in hospitality to the forefront of my real estate business, I take a consultative approach to working with my clients and provide a service-based experience with clear communication, responsiveness and insight rooted in data and market knowledge. Clients seek me out because I am thorough, reliable, and a true advocate for my clients.

Whether you are looking to sell your home or find one in which to start discovering Colorado on your own, I would love to work with you to make your goals a reality.

Kaitlyn Fischer

Kris is everything you want in a realtor. She took time to understand our needs, was patient with us when we needed education, and battled for us, when we needed help. She was the absolute best, and I cannot recommend her enough!

Attention: Friends/Family/Clients/Any and Everyone who purchased a property in the peak of Colorado's crazy market earlier this year…don't freak out about the perceived value of your house.

If you bought in the last 18-24 months you probably were one of many competing offers, you had to offer over asking price, and you may have felt you had to compromise on some contingencies. It was not a fun time to be a buyer, but the win was that you got in your house! And now, you are seeing prices drop, homes sit on the market longer and many markets flipping to a full blown Buyer's market; and you're thinking "Did I get a bad deal?" The short answer is NO, you didn't!

If you look at this chart, you will see that essentially, a home purchased at a higher price but with a lower interest rate works out better for the owner across the board. So yes, you may have paid more for your home than it would go for today, but the interest rate you secured is GOLD nowadays and will continue to benefit you for the length of your investment in the property.

Moral of the Story: Enjoy the home you fought so hard to get and don't worry about perceived value too much unless you plan to sell anytime soon. And if you do plan to sell, give me call and we can take a deep dive into the market conditions and value of your home.

    🎃HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🎃

Wishing you all a fun, and safe holiday full of spooky good times! 👻

Friends, yes interest rates are on the rise but yes, it is also I great time to be a buyer. Why? Because prices are dropping and we are actually seeing more inventory on the market than we have historically seen this time of year, which means more options for you.

If “high” interest rates have you scared to make the jump keep in mind these two things. 1) If interest rates drop after you purchase something, you can refinance (and many lenders are providing options that include no fees to refinance if that happens). 2. If interest rates don’t drop, and continue to rise, you’ll be kicking yourself for not purchasing when they were lower.

Moral of the story: if you have been contemplating a purchase, don’t wait if interest rates are the only thing holding you back.

It’s Halloween Week so in honor of that I figure I’d get in the spooky spirit and share some real state fears. 👻
